NULA 28 and CLR are 1/16" smaller diameter than Rem 700. Translates into 1/32" extra bedding material around action. Might look less than perfect on a wood stock, but shouldn't make much difference in synthetic...at least from my perspective on a hunting rifle.


Didn't realize it was that close. I have an extra L/A Rem 700 stock laying around somewhere. I'll check it out - thanks for the tip.

I'm still resisting the NULA stock upgrade for now, although I have to say that I think the stock on my Forbes 24B is the most comfortable synthetic stock I have.
