Is IMR Cheerios...errr... I mean Trail Boss the only powder available to you? Don't be afraid to try some of the "shotgun only" powders. I've work extensively with AL20/28 in my .44 Special and have also worked with AL Pro Reach in my .357 Magnum and .44 Special. Many times these powders are on the shelves because there's no handgun data on them from the manufacturer.
Too there are fellas over at the Cast Boolit site that have worked up handgun data for some of the oddball shotgun powders.
