The base is just a 32 inch long section of log from a standing dead tree on my place. Bottom is cut flat and about 14 inches across. Cut an angle across the top to router the place and date then hit it with a torch to give it a burnt look. Metal tag on the front is from an old gold claim post way back in the wilderness.
