Had some time to shoot before a local gun club meeting so I took along four "Pocket Guns"...at least that is what they used to be considered...



Top gun is a 70s vintage Walter PPK/S .22 that I picked up last year. Came with three magazines. DA is good and SA breaks clean.





Next is a Walther PP .22 that was made in the 1960s. DA pull is horrendous but the SA is about as good as the PPk/S...it also came with three mags. Someone replaced the plastic thumbrest grips with smooth wood...I like it better...





Next is one of my favorite .22 handguns...Beretta 87 Cheetah...that Beretta just saw fit to discontinue. The DA is very smooth and the SA crisp. I've had four of these and all have been excellent shooters and not one malfunction in thousands of rounds fired. Several of my students have ended up with these as CC guns when they could not handle anything larger. The gun can be carried in the hammer down DA first shot mode, same with the safety on or Condition I Cocked&Locked like a SA.





Last is a 60s vintage Walther PP .32. I had lots of .32 ammo leftover from several KelTecs I had and wanted something to burn it up in. Nice little gun but with its straight blowback action does recoil a little more than a locked breech gun would. DA is pretty smooth and SA comparable with the other Walthers.



Shooting was at 10 yards at a target of my making with a 2" white center...very easy to see with standard sights. Ammo for the .22s was Winchester Super-X 40 grain solids. The .32 was Winchester white box. The bullets have a flat point.



This was after two magazines with each gun firing one magazines from each then rotating to the next gun.
