A couple years ago, I was coming down a trail with my llamas when I met a young couple on horses going up. They had their very small daughter, maybe 4, on top of a big mule, every inch of 16 hands. She looked like a fly perched up there. I couldn't get the llamas more than 10' off the trail at that point so I asked them if their horses were familiar with them. Some horses go snakey with llamas. He said 'I guess we'll find out' and kept coming. He had the mule with his girl aboard on a long lead. Luckily it didn't spook like some will. If it had been me, I would have at the very least got that mule snubbed up close and probably would have got off and got a good grip on it. He just let the girl take her chances. I was NOT impressed.
