FS: Winchester Model 70 Lightweight .280 Rem Ackley Improved

I bought this as a 30-06 & had Dave @ IT&D pull the original tube & replace w/ a featherweight contour take-off in .280 Rem which he punched for me. He also re-blued the barrel which looks great save a tiny bit of wear on top at the muzzle which a camera can't capture but is there if you look. He also did a fine job of tweaking the trigger so it breaks beautifully @ approx 3 lbs.

The lightweight stock has great figure. There is a little bit of old pitting on the end of the bolt knob that I cleaned up w/ steel wool & WD40 when I bought the rifle.

The gunsmith sent me a fire-formed R-P .280 Rem case but I found the chamber oversized for forming the R-P 7mm Exp cases purchased for this project. Once I stretched bullet seating for a hard jam I found fire forming to be easy. That having been said, the brass included will last a long, long time if properly cared for.

Along with the rifle I am including:

-150 R-P cases head stamped 7mm Exp (50 were brand new, 100 fired 1x) about half of them have been fire formed with the rest loaded w/ 174 Prvi Partisan FMJs seated LONG charged w/ Hunter & ready for fire forming

-Med height TLWs (**SCOPE NOT INCLUDED**)

-Lee Collet Neck Sizer 2-die set .280 Rem/7mm Exp

The little bit of load work up I've done w/ 140 TSXs & 145 gr Speer BTSPs has shown promise but I've done only a very little bit of it so far and will include detailed results thereof w/ the rifle.
