Anyone running a 338 ultra feeding from the mag with the 300smk? I'd read that the 300 Bergers were just too long, but the 300 smk can be used. It WILL be seated pretty deep. I have accurate mags, Defiance action, Mcrees folder, & 32" kreiger with Harrels side port brake. Its being built currently.
Anyone doing this? Would the Hornady 285 be a better choice?
Main purpose will be long range precision shooting, occasional elk thrown in (when I won't have to carry it far!).
