If you go here and look under "hunting rifles" you can find a "How to fix a Montana" thread that outlines all the problems that plague them. Magazine relief (it binds) stock relief around action etc.

Now in My opinion a $1k plus rifle should not need a thing to shoot well. If Tikka savage howa wby vanguards can do it for half the money...................
