I have 14,315 in 303 with a 22" octago barrel. On the barrel it is stamped with an S in a circle. It is also stamped with an "M" like the early Marlin made barrels. Factory letter says 14,316 is noted as a 22" barrel, not 14315. Has anyone else seen an early B with 22" octagon barrel stamped with "M". Were they still using up Marlin barrels in 1901 ?
