Guys.
My nephew and I built these earlier this year to sell a gun shows to raise funds for his Philmont trip this year .We sold nearly a hundred of them. We took the last 10 we built and rather than the standard flat black/ aluminum finish, did these up in Flat black and HUNTER ORANGE. I made up a final 4 Stoves with the last of the parts on hand.
These are light, efficient and easy to use.
Made with an alumnium body a steel center support with a circular carbon felt wick. Works like a Trangia..pour fuel in the center( up to 2 oz) and light..
The finish is 2,000 degree engine paint baked on with several coats.
These work as slick as they look. They weight only 1 ounce and are 2" tall by 2.5" wide.
Built in pot stand that work with 3 to 6" diameter cups/pots. The stove uses a circular carbon felt wick that absorbs most of the fuel for both safe use against spills and a steady strong flame even in the wind! These will bring two cups of water to a boil in about 6 minutes with only a half ounce of denatured alchohol under good conditions with a windscreen. If the wick is wet with fuel, there is NO need to prime in cold weather or wait for the burner to bloom- just light it and put the pot on.
While these work best on Ethanol or Methnol, in a pinch , you can also run these with 90 %IsoPro Alchohol as well with minimal sooting.
Comes with a simmer ring for $19.50 Shipped and will include a custom made HD 4" Tall by .012" thick Windscreen made for your diametermug/ pot for an extra $5 shipped with the stove. I now 2 only have of these stoves for sale and won't be building anymore. Thanks.
