Meh...the judge came off more like a bitch than she did. She doesn't care. She is unemployed and can't go home. She might as well stay in jail.

Jail, even prison, isn't much of a deterrent to a lot of those people. I've had plenty of clients who consider probation to be a bigger pain in the ass than prison...you can't get high on probation. They would rather do more time in order to be "off paper" as they call it when they get out.
