Every Sig I have owned had the sight height so that the shooter covered the bulls eye with the front sight as opposed to having the top of the front sight on the desired point of impact. I am told that this is a combat configuration. I don't have a P6 or I'd just shoot it and find out. I actually read a post somewhere where a guy sold his new Sig because it shot low and apparently he didn't read the instructions. The P6 has a 7 rear and 8 front. Right image is the way Sig sights work which IMO is great for defense. Image 2 is better for shooting the head off Grouse.

i checked the sights on a P6 i have, the front sight is marked 7, could not find a mark on the rear.
