While we were hunting area 380 in Montana, we saw a monster bull elk, but you can't shoot them without a special permit, so we decided to do the next best thing and shoot the legal elk. I shot a spike and a cow, my son shot a cow and we headed home with a trailer load of elk. I always keep a set of horns in the back of the truck to make the elk look bigger than a cow or spike.
