I had one on my 392, it was pretty easy to put on, and a nice precise site for adjustments too. I left the original rear sight on as well and you could see some of the dovetail in the aperture, otherwise it worked, was rock solid.
But yeh, I know what you mean, there was not much info on the internet back in 2010 to help me in installation.
