Threads like this are the very best part of the 'fire! LBP, I can only imagine how proud you must feel--not just 'cuz the boy bonked a couple critters, but because of the work and preparation that went into it. Also, the character your boy exhibits in order to safely handle/shoot guns while respecting the game he hunts. Yup, kids' Hero Shots are great, but mostly for all the behind-the-scenes lifestyle choices that they represent.
You've got that boy on the right path, and I congratulate you! If you and Jacob ever find yourselves here in western Washington, please make contact--I'd be happy to buy you lunch and get to know you personally.
