I too like the G33/40 but for half of that I found a VERY nice Husqvarna HVA 30-06!
Of course that was two years ago. The HVA's are habit forming. Since then I have "had" to buy a 243 and a Mannlicher stocked 30-06, soon to be a 7x57 . All three HVA's were less than half of the G33/40.
HVA's are a real sleeper. Here's a link to an '06 restoration. Those actions are super slick, to me about as slick as the cherished G33/40 Mausers and a lot cheaper.
