Cerakote is easy to apply, the secret is the prep.
Degrease, abrasive blast are critical.
It's relatively easy to spray. I use a Harbor Freight HVLP spray gun, that cost $15.00, works great. Clean-up is critical, otherwise you will be throwing away your spray gun afterwards.
My oven is a steel bluing tank on a Coleman stove. I cover it with a piece of fiberglass insulation and monitor temp with an oven thermometer.
Small parts go in the home oven, just hang them on wires.
Kind of a redneck setup but it works, and if you enjoy it you can always update with better equipment.
