More load testing today with the newer powders including IMR 4451.

6.5x55
Lapua brass
Rem primer
COAL 3.180

Nosler 129 LRAB
IMR 4451 46.8
2,930 average, low ES
This load rocks for accuracy at .4
(I'm guessing that this would be a great powder in the 260 Rem.)

140 Berger VLD
RL 26 52.5
2,945
2,964
2,937

...........................................................
270 Win

150 Nosler Partition
RL 26 63.0
Nosler brass
Fed 215 Mag primer
I bumped the COAL to 3.40 from 3.35

3,080
3,074
3,103
3,061

Accuracy was just under an inch with the cold bore shot.
3 shots were touching.
The Partition likes the slower powder more than the LRAB.

Absolutely no "classic" pressure signs, easy bolt lift, no marks on case head, primers looked good, ect.

I think I likey a lot.

This was a reply I received from Alliant Powder

"Reloder 26 falls between RL-25 and RL-33.
Reloder 23 falls between RL-22 and RL-25.
Keep in mind that burn rates are only relative. Even though you may have two powders that follow one another, they may have completely different burn rates and/or characteristics.
