KevinJ: I also have been looking for a Remington 504 "in the flesh" - I just have never seen one!
I liked the looks of these in the Remington catalogs back when they were offered, just never saw one at a store or on the used gun market.
I would still kind of like to try one.
I did buy a heavy barel Remington 541-T last year and it shoots "lights out".
