Just bought a Vanguard in 270 Win. Question is most of my shots at whitetails will be 150yds. or less. I'm thinking of using 150g loads, my reason for this thinking is a slower bullet at close range will equal less meat damage. Am I right? One piece that I hunt I shoulder shoot them to keep them from going on to property that I don't have permission to be on.
So what do you 270 guys use that hunt similar conditions?
