I told a friend of mine the story. He said he had to remove a streamer from a woman's neck more than 30 yrs ago. After it was out, he was rooting around in his day bag for some ointment; she was still grimaced waiting for it to get out - he had to tell her it was done!
And last summer at a nearby resort a fellow downed half a bottle of tequila and had a friend yank it out with a pliers. Should have had stitches, but was too drunk. So some still don't know about this. Spread the word!
