RL-17 is THE high velocity number for the 286 NP. That's from personal experience.
I've a friend who uses 2000 MR in a short 20" CZ with very good results as well.
RL-17 is a bit slower than 2000 MR and also Big Game. I've been using it for three years without any issues.
Varget may be better for accuracy, I don't know that, but it can't keep pace with RL-17 in Velocity, which fires the 286 NP into MOA.
