I have but don't like to hunt from tree stands. However, I do have and sometimes hunt from a "wildlife observation tower".
When I do I generally take a #1 in a 257R, 25-06, or 7x57. If it is inclement weather I usually take a 260 Montana or a Model Seven in .243....
There is no accounting for taste.
Experience is a great thing as long as one survives it.
Generally, there ain't a lot that separates the two however,
Barely making it is a whole lot more satisfying than barely not making it.
