This is an unusual one I have not seen before. It is a Winchester 70 Featherweight in 7x57 Mauser with a pushfeed action, but is not stamped with "xtr". It looks like an xtr in every other way except that is has "Featherweight" stamped in cursive on the receiver side of the barrel. It may have been a special run before or after the xtr were made. It was made in New Haven and has the red Winchester butt plate In any event; it is in like new condition with one minor exception. There is a small area of very faint freckling just below the forward scope mount on the left side. It is only visible in very good light.

It has a very clear, duplex steel tube Weaver V7 2-7x30mm mounted in Leupold two piece bases and Leupold low rings. I adjusted the trigger down to about 3 and 1/2 lbs, but it is otherwise stock factory. It has very nice walnut. I bought it and a Remington Mountain rifle in 280 at the same time and can't keep both. Decided to keep the Mountain rifle as it already has scratches and I would be more inclined to actually hunt with it.

$825 shipped with the scope
$750 shipped w/out the scope

I can email a few pics to seriously interested parties
