I am thinking of putting together a rifle for those rare occasions when a scope isn't practical. And I'd just like an open sighted lever action for easy carry once in a while. I'm thinking of a 20" barreled .30--30, pre safety M336 (late 70s/early 80s era) a friend has for sale. What brand of ghost ring peep sight would folks out there in campfire land recommend, and if I go with your recommendation, what height front sight would be most likely to work with 150-170 grain bullets.
