Recently mounted a Leupold 2.5x in Talley Ultralights on a stainless Marlin Guide Gun 45-70 and finally got out to the range with it today. The only brass I had was Leverevolution brass and I didn't want to load that with the 300gr LFNGC's I bought due to the shorter brass length (not that I know that to be a definite issue), so I picked up a few boxes of Winchester Super X 300gr jacketed HP ammo to shoot through it and get myself some brass to reload (since brass is out of stock everywhere I've looked on the net and LGS's around me). Pretty happy with the groups this ammo put out. Attached is the first 5 shot group I put down on the bench after sighting in at 100yds.

The rest of my groups were shot at 50yds offhand and produced 2-6" groups, depending on how well I did my part. Starting to think I might squander away that second box of factory ammo for my bear hunt this fall, depending on how my reloads with the 300gr LFNGC's work out.
