I've done this on my Marlins and it works great.

My Marlin 1895SS in 45/70 had a less than desirable trigger pull. I ordered and installed a WW trigger and was well pleased with the result. I also have a 336SC in .35 Remington that I purchased in 1952. After 63 years the trigger didn't need any work. A few years back I purchased a 1894C in .357 Magnum which need trigger work. I followed the instructions from Marlinowners and ended up with a great trigger pull. It took a little time but I am happy with the results and saved a couple of bucks also.

Happy Trails!
