I have had good luck with some polishing, and have
ruined a couple by sending them to a willing gunsmith.
I agree with Jed. It is a crap shoot to get better results,
and you could end up a helluva lot worse off when you get it back.
Maybe someone here has a secret to share, but I say to be very careful.
Since the 99's were practiclly hand made, I would have
figured Savage would have made a better trigger..If one
could be made.
If you have a late (Post mil.) 99, try to find a pre-mil..
They are MUCH better.
