I took my Sporter out for its maiden voyage this morning. It was easy and convenient to set up, which will be nice when there are others at the range. It did slide some on my MR contour barrel, even though I had the nut cinched down tight. The bigger question mark I have though is why the three loads I shot over it read higher than my Oehler, and not by just a little. A 223 with TAC and a 270 with Hunter both averaged 95 fps while a 300 Savage with TAC averaged 54 fps faster than they did previously over my Oehler. Next time I'll have to shoot both in tandem to see how they compare.
