Anyone running a Kimber 84m (short action) with a Leupold 3.5-10x40?
Wondering if this scope would look too large or awkward riding on top.
Any pics of such a set up would be greatly appreciated.

I had that exact scope on my Kimber Montana 84m 223 with Talley medium height rings. It looked great. No problem whatsoever.

I would take a pic but I took it off for a SWFA 6x MQ with Warne bases and Nightforce Ultralite low rings. This is a much larger and heavier scope and even that looks fine to me. Maybe a tad large but it works well and tracks accurately which is worth it to me.

Good luck.

300 WSM Montana with a Vari-X III 4.5-14X40mm up top. Soon to get a VXIII 2.5-8 as this is my light woods rifle and i have several heavier guns with bigger optics for open areas.

As a do it all variable power scope it doesnt get much better then the 3.5-10 range though.

I had one on my Montana. I think it looked and felt fine. Prefer the Conquest and that's what's there now. The Kimber stock is so straight that, for me anyway, it feels best with medium rings. So, there was ample room for a 40mm scope, and to me a 2.5-8x36 looked funny mounted higher.

That is the set up I am using on my .308. Is a great set up in my opinion. I was ringing steel at 550-yards yesterday with the B&C reticule and 168gr NBT with Varget.

Good Shooting!
