]The Missoula match director and I spent a couple days in the vast prairie dog fields here in Montana. They don't have a chance against Varmint rifles, so we got out the Sharps. I had 2 40-90 BN and a scoped 45-70. We unleashed on the prairie dog town and nothing will ever be the same...

I had a scope like that on my C. Sharps 45-70 RHO If I rember right, shot 7-8 deer with it God I miss that rifle, and with that scope was a hoot to shoot! even used it out of a tree, on a ridge one moring, got 2 does that day!

A direct hit or a near miss should suffice.

There's a 5 point penalty for killin' them with crater debris.
