My torso length is right at 24". Any recommendations for a good day pack from folks with torso lengths near mine would be appreciated.

Great packs. Modular to get what size you need. Pack in a camp and break down the pack into a day pack and go kill a back country elk.

And I have one for sale for a GREAT price or partial trade for that 280.

I'm 6'2" with a 32" inseam, so my torso is long also.

I have a Kifaru Spike Camp for my day pack and it works very well. I've carried an entire boned out pronghorn doe (biggest I've ever seen shot) in it and the pack was comfortable.

You send Kifaru your body measurements and they make the pack to fit you.

I've never used many of the other brands but expect my Kifaru to out-last me!

Or a Badlands Super Day pack, I like it a bit better than the 2200.

What is your chest size? I find that a long pack doesn't help if the shoulder strap length won't let it reach around you to the front. It ends up riding in the middle of my back, instead of sitting on my hips.

I like the Cabelas Transporter fanny pack as well, they are very adjustable to height, and layers.

I have the opposite problem - a short torso. I couldn't get a 2200 short enough to fit. The 2800 is another thought.

The 2200 is a wonderful pack. I carried one on my elk hunt last year and it worked wonderfully. I carried both the rear quarters (on seperate trips) and the pack was amazing at carrying the weight. I also used it on my wife's December coues hunt in 2014 and it worked great. Unfortunately, I did not get to strap a coues buck to it like I hoped. The 2200 might very well replace my dragonfly.

Read carefully. The yoke is adjustable for length.
