A .480 Ruger will shoot through trees, too. Although I try to only shoot dead ones. No point killing a tree unless it's being aggressive. Or if you need firewood.

Reading this has been a real eduction. What I learned is I need to carry something around 75 cal, hits like a freight train but will just hit the ground after going through the human body, holds around 200 rounds, and fits in the coin pocket of my jeans. My 1911 will not kill even small rodents. I may as well just quit carrying anything and if some bad guy shows up just lay down and die. LMAO... To be sure....

Using the wrong boolits in a 45-70 has lost me several deer. Wounding deer and blaming it on the bullets..... Maybe, just maybe, you should work on shot placement some? I don't have trouble with "placement." As close as I figure I have 168 deer with revolvers. Add in all else from archery, flint locks, shotguns and rifles, I am near 570 deer. Orchard and farm control with anything I could shoot. I have around 220 archery kills alone. So now you are telling me how to shoot. Strange bunch!

The wound channel comparisons between 9mm and 45 are damned near identical using defensive bullets. So
1) when penetration is for practical purposes, identical
2) and wound channels, are, again, for practical purposes Identical
Please tell me why you believe a 9mm is "junk"

How many have you lost? Nothing he stated indicates he has recovered any, therefore it's concievable that he had lost them all, thus giving him logic to blame the bullet

Quite a few, used a flint lock in Ohio mostly, Hawkens and percussion too. Never kept good track. Shotgun a few times but we could not use revolvers back then. Had to use a flint in late PA season.

Ask Whitworth about my hunting. Wow, I had assumed from your rambling that your were around 137 years old. Super early onset Alzheimer's is an ugly thing. Prayers sent.

Whitworth is the best big bore revolver shooter I know. We had a lot of fun. But I am almost 78!

I had 5 orchards and many farms, fed a lot of poor and it was better then what the farmers did, they gut shot them to die in the woods so they did not have to drag them from field. There is a pig farmer near here that has shot as many as 200 a year. He tosses them in a ravine to rot. Last few years I have held it to seven and had to quit with 5 last season, they reduced the doe allowed to 3 a season.

My apologies to the same person in the picture.
I knew he looked more normal than the nonsense pouring forth from the geriatric.

Isn't your 1911 made of chocolate anyway? Yep. I a survival situation I can use it to polish the the bottom of soda can and start a fire or just eat it for energy. Besides all those big bullets are to heavy to carry anyway.

That was Whitworths picture. This is me. Whit took the picture by the way. And I have near close to 62 years of deer hunting. I started archery hunting when Ohio had almost no deer, a call the paper thing to say you seen one. But I killed a deer in Ohio, MI and PA the first year. Then they removed deer from Ravenna arsenal and the Plumbrook NASA grounds to stock the state. They exploded. Back then you had to get drawn to hunt Ravenna or qualify with a bow target shoot. I shot 5 with a shotgun on aach day and many with a bow but we could only keep one, gave the rest away. Soon farms were getting crops destroyed. It was so good I stayed in farmers homes next to a fireplace all week. We took deer to get butchered free for poor but now here in WV, we have to pay to process. We have a program to donate but I sure will not pay the cost. I had farms and orchards from south of Cleveland to the river. Even here where I hunt neighbors lands, I can bring all the friends I want with me. Whitworth can verify that. he was welcome. It is how you get along and respect the farmers lands. You do not know what it is like to park a camper on an orchard and get all the free cider and apples you want to haul in appreciation. Sad so many want to fight and argue with a keyboard deer. How many pictures do you want.
