Good wood? That's a nice caliber. I'm waiting to see one of these pop up: http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=RUK1V223

Tex, There must be a small FFL dealer, work from home or small shop, willing to order you one for a nominal markup. You can wait for somebody's problem child LNIB but; for my 2c, rather take my chance with one straight from Lipsey. I done way better than what I see some asking for on GB and no more than the cheepest after shipping and xfer fees. Plus, I got it.

Ruger hasn't shipped any to Lipseys yet so no you can't just order one from your dealer and get it.

Honestly Pat I dont remember....will look and see if its still there when i go back over to see my girlfriend this weekend or next I've seen that one and it's been on the rack for a while now. I would rate it as rather bland wood (no figure to speak of), but then I haven't seen nice wood on any of the newer No. 1's lately.
