What are the basic whistle commands for field dogs? And when I say basic, I mean BASIC.

English springers:
one short toot: stop/sit
two short toots: change direction if moving, or if stopped go or go in the direction indicated by a hand signal
3 long drawn toots with a hand signal left/right: quarter back in the direction shown
many short soft toots: come back in

Don, I was thinking that same thing about the whistle rattle. These sound fairly basic, should work with a lab for retrieving/flushing? I doubt Remi will ever see a duck.

Dunn's in Tenn sells ont, can't remember the name, that the side plate comes off of and the pea falls out. I used them a long time. They are orange with a black side plate that just pops off.

The Acme 210 is a peeless whistle that most spaniel handlers around here use.
