The Maytag just died. I'm not jonesing for another. My daughter has been less than thrilled with her Bosch.

What's one that will just do its damned job for 6 or more years?

Thanks,

DC

I just bought a Maytag, I will let you know in 6 years. Switched out a 6 y/o GE Cafe, not recommended.

We did a kitchen renovation last year and replaced all the appliances. Bought a Kitchenaid dishwasher that works very well and is QUIET. As to longevity, time will tell. I don't think theres a lot of difference in quality in the sub $1k models.

I've been happy with our Bosch. We did pay for the top of the line model about four years ago. Not a cheap date but I had gone through two in 12 years and thought what the heck.

We have an ASKO that is going on eight years with zero problems. Dead quiet and it cleans extremely well.

I bought a new Maytag 2 years ago. It is a POS, leaks, stinks and is noisier than it should be. I am so done with Maytag. Not sure what to get.

Mine kicked the bucket on the same day my father passed away from Alzheimer's. Thinking it couldn't get any worse, our a/c passed away that day as well.....as they say, bad things come in threes.

No more Kenmore products for my family.....ever.

Bosch is the quietist. Funky dry cycle but works well. Had it for a year. In-laws have had one for 12 years with no complaints. Made me get one.

We had a Kenmore for 15 years that worked well and had a better set up inside than the Bosch. Loaded more efficiently. Not sure if Kenmore has the same quality now as in 2000. Might Google.

I'd have a hard time paying for one that didn't suck. A woman's got to know her place.

When I redid the kitchen, I did not put in a new dishwasher. Just do them by hand. Gained cabinet space.

Have always replaced dishwashers when we moved with kitchen aids. Have never had any problems.

Our dishwasher died about a year ago, so I did a bunch of research. Bosch looked good, but the heater is the entire outside of the tub and they've caused a LOT of fires.

Eventually ended up with a top-of-the-line KitchenAide. We could not be happier with the product. By far, the finest dishwasher we've had in the fifty-one years we've lived in our home.

Blessings,

Steve
