After buying a Zeiss Conquest, I liked it so much, I ended up buying a second one. After receiving it, I notice there was gold colored print on the scope instead of the white print that was on the first one I ordered. Everything else looks the same, but there was a slight rip in the box it came in. Likely this is nothing, but after learning of the counterfeit scopes on Ebay, I figured I had better check with the experts. Is this normal?

WHat are the experts here going to tell you that Zeiss cannot tell you ? Call them with a serial number and they should be able to verify. FWIW every Zeiss conquest I have owned (1 dozen or so) have the subdued markings. Here is a counterfeit being sold on ebay Very Very Obvious counterfeit
