Here's my newest: 5" S&W 29 Classic. Had it out to the range this morning and it's a great shooter. All it needs is a set of custom grips and a whole lot of 250gr Keith loads grin

Here is a new pic of the 329. It was my primary gun for a motorcycle trip up to Bayhorse lakes and mine district in central Idaho.

The sights need an upgrade, as well as the lock needing de-activated, but still a very nice carry gun for the mountains.

Here's my two 44's. The top one a Bisley 44 magnum and the lower a Flattop 44 Special.

Sir...Have a 329 as well that I am not happy with the sights...I understand they are supposed to be fast to acquire, but I can't hit anything with them.
Seems important to be able to do so!:D.
Do you have any thoughts yet about the changes you might recommend/select to make them more usable?(if that is your issue?)
Thanks.
Joe

I have these on my 357/.41 Magnum and I think Mackay is looking to put the same ones on his 329.

a few years ago, cabella's basically bought me a s&w model 29 classic 4 inch. Since it had a pinned front sight, it was real easy to replace with one of those 329 type front sights.
i wouldn't say it's a good target sight, its not, but i didn't intend it to be used that way.
I wanted the quick acquisition which it does well.
Those metpro style sights i have on other stuff, and they are good for what they are intended to be for.

Joe,

RJM (Bob) is correct in that I am looking at the sights he has shown. Like you, I am less than impressed with the rounded top F.O. sight with the V notch rear. I much prefer a crisp sight picture, and the meprolights that Bob has shown seem like a smart choice for a "things go bump against the tent at night" kind of gun.

smile

Mackay & Bob...thanks to you both for the feedback. Those look like a good option. I like the 3 dot arrangement and the night sights are a welcome bonus. Joe

Morning Mac-
My 29 isn't as pretty as yours (neither are my surroundings) but it is still one of my favorites. Would love to be doing what you appear to be doing! cool

anyone who goes through life without owning a Model 29 or 629 has done himself a great disservice.

Lots of smoke from various fires. Not as bad this week, but last week it was terrible.
