It was quite comical early in the morning as some of us ol' fardts were hobbling around the camp trying to get our backs straightened, knees loosened, and being able to stand upright.

But it was a grand time indeed...

Miles, I am very glad you made it home safe

Thanks Blue. Has anybody heard from Randy? I was expecting a report on deep fried biscuits and honey by now. miles

After meeting Randy and getting to know him a little, I'm convinced that he's bullet proof. Probably sleeping it off...

Would be remiss if we did not thank Kent, and Cheryl, for preparing the breakfasts and Saturday dinner along with the many helping hands that joined the tasks. And, thanks to Ben (Crystal)and Thomas (Brandy) for the delicious pie and cake desserts. Hope I did not miss any other food bringers.

Of course, thanks to Dennis for all of his work in making those steels, setting up the shooting range/targets and running events. And, thanks to Blue for the big pig and chicken steels.

And, thanks to all who did a part to create the success.

The kids and ladies were excellent. I don't know Miss Lynn, but maybe she should bring her man-ogling and flashes next year - well, maybe.

Somehow I don't quite get your problem with me ogling Mark, and I don't quite get the "well maybe" part of me going anywhere near Quemado next year, but I will take that as a stay the hell away message from you to me.

Have a good one.

This was the first time I ever made it to Quemado and to say I had a blast would be an understatement.

I got to see old friends and met lots of new ones. Kids running all over the place, guns, fine food, lots of stories (might have been a few 'tall tales')... what more could a fellow ask for. I was in 'hog heaven'!

Everyone chipped in to make the 'gathering' a success. A special thanks goes to Paul (hosting the event), Dennis (organizing the shooting events), and Kent (organizing the meals).

There has been lots of pics posted, so I'll just add a few.

These were our alarm clocks... cows started calling at daylight every morning. (First time I ever saw an elk)

Thanks again to everyone for making this an unforgettable trip.

Best get some thick skin and humorous attitude if you want to hang with this bunch.

And I'd be careful ogling Mark with Joy around... LOL...

I have to admit I can think of a lot of reasons to like Mark but his butt isn't one of them. I am sure he finds comfort in that fact.

Have a good one.

Now, now Miss Lynn - you opened the ogle comment can. You won't "get" any such problem because there isn't one having to do with your ogling guys pictured here or there on the 'Fire. Merely find this ogle more humorous.

The "maybe" is humorous as well - has to do with a fine lady who has graced us with her presence at this gathering - she's closely connected with Mark.

Your interpretive sensors seem to be uptight and working overtime - never, ever, have intended a "stay away" message to anyone and would not change that even for you. Come on down - join in - but might be good to come equipped with a sense of humor and some firma derma. This bunch does have fun and there is no immunity.

Next year we should have a BEST BUNS CONTEST, and invite Miss Lynn, to be the Judge. that would be good for a chuckle or two. Rio7

After thinking about how this might work I would have to say NO!

Now using brain bleach to try to clear away those thoughts.
