Anyone here done black webbing on their tan painted Edge McMillan stock?

I'm about to do it, and would like to see how others have done theirs, paint density, etc. if you have pics you would share.

thanks.

Thanks for the pics! Did you spray lengthwise, or in a pattern perpendicular to the barrel axis?

It's easier than going to the well for a drink of water. I lay mine flat and spray lengthwise, let that side dry then turn over and do the other side. Test it on some cardboard to get the feel of it. The very worst you can do is put to much on, in that case shoot the stock tan and start over. I put at least three coats of matte clear on afterwards to help keep it on.

An edge with extra colors

Not on an Edge but I just got my High Tech Specialties stock back from Mudder700 which he painted tan with black webbing. It looks very similar to the pictures posted here by Craigster. I love it and the job dome by Mudder. Could not be happier.

Not an Edge, but tan with black webbing.

Just to get a feel for how the webbing paint comes out of the can, do a practice run on a piece of cardboard or wood. I hung the stock from a wire and web painted it. Clear matte to seal it.

There was a fellow on here, from Minnesota I believe, that had an excellent tutorial on the steps to do a webbing job. You might search for it.

Thanks for the replies and photos-

Had a perfectly calm day today, so set everything up outdoors and after practicing a bit on cardboard, did the webbing thing to my tan Edge stock. I finished it off with three light coats of Krylon matte clear finish. I'm very happy with the results- really changed the appearance of this stock, and rifle.

Looks good!

I always tend to spray on too much webbing. Yours looks professional.

You done good! I like the "grippiness" the webbing adds.
