A 7x61 Sharpe and hart necked down...would be my guess.

Got some more info: Bullet diameter=.261"(German?)
Chamber dimensions=OAL is 2.340", neck diameter=.295
head dia=.641 and max body dia=.613. The bullet diameter really threw me a curve until I found theat 6.5mm can be from .261 to .268. Who knew?

Don't 6.5x52 Carcanos have a slightly larger bore diameter than than "standard" 0.264"?
