Tough to beat a night like this. Last Friday my buddy Mike, and a friend of his named Tom, and I had an absolutely "Fish-tas-tic" night of fishing! In fact it might be the best night of fishing I've ever had. We watched the sun go down and then watched it come up again the next day. It was worth every minute of lost sleep.

The main objective of the night were walleye, but we really got into the rainbow trout and perch as well. Here are just a few of the trout. Basically this was all I could fit on my fingers. They weren't exactly little 10" sardine sized fish either.

We did catch plenty of walleye and could have easily kept 3 limits, but we all threw a number of walleye, perch, and trout back. We ended up keeping 61 fish total and combined. We figure we boated over 80 fish between us. I LOVE MONTANA!!!

Here's a photo of Mike, myself and our haul for the night. As good as it gets.

Thats like a years legal limit in Washington and you can keep that per night!

Which one of you fished from the tree stand on this trip?

We'll never tell. The tree stand is the secret method to all our success. wink Oh and btw, there is one body of water we were near that we didn't fish where there is no limit on the walleye!

I had just bought a Kimber Tactical Elite, and texted a buddy. His answer was a question, "So, you name your guns now?".

Auto correct had changed it to Kimberly.

I would give my front teeth for a mess of perch like that. Worth it I'd say!

killer night for sure! I could tell they were pretty good sized. We don't have many perch this far south. I did catch a few a few years ago on a private lake called lake tansy in middle tn. Some of the best eating ever. You western fellows make me a little jelous. You put a swarping on them for sure.

I caught 52 Sunday on a solo trip, mostly crappie and a few big blue gills. Crappie we're small but to catchem like that during the day in August in Tennessee is a miracle. I left the lake at 1:50 pm a happy man.
