I have a Savage 1899 Takedown that's factory engraved made in 1912. How many of these guns were made. I've heard it was under 100 factory and only 26 were takedown models. Is this true?

No, that number is far too low. An exact number isn't known, but we've seen hundreds at least, though most are on solid frames rather than takedowns. They are uncommon though.

What style of engraving is it? Any chance you can share a few photos?
