Since we are expecting to be able to take delivery of our rifles soon, I figured we ought to have a place to show off how we've outfitted them, load development and of course GAME taken.
Mine probably won't look much different than any of yours, got a VX2 3-9x40 and Talleys coming for it, a pile of mostly Noslers to play with, Lapua brass, a Nevada deer tag and a Colorado deer tag to put it to use so we'll see how it goes.

Mine will start out with a Leupold VXR Patrol Firedot 3x9x40 in Talley's. Nosler and Lapua brass onhand along with bullets by Nosler, Lapua,Barnes,Speer and some GS Customs on order. All scheduled hunts will be archery. Will have to slip a pig hunt in.

I'm curious to see who finds THE load and how it pans out across board.

I'm not gonna have time for a lot of load development, plus I have a 6.5-06 that needs tending to, so likely the 130 Accubond or 120 BT get a long look to start with.

I'm thinking 25 guys with 25 sequentially built, identical rifles will most likely be the most interesting thread this place has seen in a long time.
And I'm willing to bet it will make or break the MRC reputation around here and identify those that can handload/shoot vs those that can't.

Do you think those factors would be variables in the Kimber vs. Tikka argument?

I bought one of the Cabelas clearance VX-2 3-9x40 with CDS for mine.... sitting in the safe waiting for the rifle. I need to order Talley's for it. Are they Model 70 Winchester Talley's?

Yes even the same part number is listed on the talley website for both 1999s and m70s

SAS - I know you're busy, but wondering if you had a chance to throw it on a scale?
