I was all set to buy a .444 Marlin now I have dashed the idea,thanks alot Stay the course...the triple 4 Marlins are tack drivers. Besides the wopper deer you shoot in New York you need a bigger gun. Seafire has a great load for the T4 using the Hornady 300 gr XTP....just sayin. Dpc

Poobs, you woulda run a guy I saw at the range all the way out of the state.
He was sighting in a .270 WSM.
With two different brands of ammo.
A Bubba buddy.
And see-though mounts.......on a barrel with no sights.
And a Walmart blister-pack scope.
I still have nightmares.

I had that on there to protect my beautiful wood and the Swede and of course dragging that deer out I tripped and dinged it any how,so it will go
After the 1st mark it's a moot point I got it for killing not staying in a cozy corner of my safe

If this is going to be a true Dink-a-thon, it should be open to all attendees regardless of weapon and bribes.  OK.....OK...you whiner! It is open to all manner weapon ( without Bushnell Scopes) but we ain't changing the bribe thing! However, bribes can be made in Blantons, or in Rebecca Creek, cause its in Texas  Well, I figured you guys would be givin me schit over the Bushnell, plus I want it to hold after getting the crap beat out of it from the airline, so you'll be happy to know I took it off last weekend and put a Leupold VX1 3-9x40 on it.

real men keep a spare round in their mouth held between their teeth 1 shot is usually all I need, but you never know when you might be able to get a twofer. But then again, you have to remember that I've never shot a pig before either. I'll either miss or I might get excited and hammer all 3 on day one.......that's if there are any pigs to shoot. I'm hoping and praying that you're right about that. Regardless of the pig situation, I'll still have a good time. Alright, I'll do the teeth thing......or I'll cheat and take it off before I get in the truck to come back to the lodge.
