My favorites are the BD contour flicklocks, but I can't find them anymore.
My buddy got a pair of super duper new Leki's last year and they lasted almost half way through the hunt before one snapped. After talking to a few other folks, it didn't sound like his were the only ones.
I have the round ones and the contours. I bent one of the round ones when trying to catch myself when slipping on a muddy trail, but was able to straighten it out so that it can be mostly collapsed. I prefer the stouter contoured pole as I don't see myself bending one.
Not sure who has the ellipticals in stock, I got mine a few years back from REI.
I'll take a bit more weight in a pole in order to have it survive more than one trip and given my BD's have been used for multiple hikes and skiing, I'd say they make a solid pole that will hold up (most of the time).
