About as good as it gets with that rifle.

I am a very big fan of 70s and I agree that it is a beauty, especially NIB.

At the same time, I thought there is at least an unwritten rule that items should not be put up for sale without a price. Put one in. If it is too high (quite possible), you will quickly find out. You can always back off and you might just get a satisfactory return.

This is in a caliber I do not have, and while it is RH and I prefer lefties, it is not a dangerous game caliber and I might be tempted. I do not need it, and while I have my custom 6.5-06 which duplicates the purpose, I have long been tempted by the .264 Win Mag. Fact is, like it or not, the caliber is not that rare but this is quite a nice one,

Just last year, I was looking for a .300 Win Mag LH Model 70 and ended up with a NIB .300 WSM because it was just so darned attractive. However, I'm not going to chase an unknown value.

+1 to Anjin

Put in a price. I understood this was a requirement for posting anything on 'da Fire.

While I do not make the rules, I personally do not favor auctions on the 'Fire. I do not recall any and I would't participate in them, even for a very nice item.

For that, one can go to Gunbroker and other sites and while the sellers there have to pay a modest fee, those are clearly commercial businesses, not in the nature of a club of like-interested and knowledge-sharing members. Also, those have time limits and at any giving time, one can see where the latest price is.

It just does not seem quite right to run an auction here, especially for one who has never spent any time here. That is just me, of course. Do what you want, but I will pass on this one, thanks.

I agree with Anjin. Those have been the rules of the road for at least the past 6 years - and probably longer. Our setup isn't broken so we don't need longunner to try to fix it. If some azzhats are wanting to bid by PM, well fook 'em.

Low post count concerns me a little. But if you have a bit for $1300+, better take it before they have second thoughts.
