I've been an avid deer and Black Bear hunter for many years and just recently in the past few years into bow hunting and love it!! I had my alpine set and practiced and got to be pretty good at 25 yards. The rest I have is a Whisker Biscuit and I hate the thing!! I don't know much about getting a new rest and wondered if anyone could suggest a rest that is SIMPLE and easy to adjust, or one that needs the least adjusting!!! I only sight in one pin at 25 yds and have been very succesful but I difently want a new rest for my bow!

The Kaz-away by Vital Bow Gear is the best I've found. It's also a full containment rest! I switched from a WB and am SO happy I made the switch.

Whatever rest you chose you should have it installed and setup at a proshop! These drop aways are great but they have to be setup right and the bow papertuned. WDO

My WB is trouble free as they get and simple, as in no moving parts to stick or fail. I like it for that and it's as accurate as I can shoot at least. It was installed, the bow tuned, and that's it.

So I have to ask the same question Toby Joe asked..

I have a trophy taker shakey hunter on my bow. This was a replacment for my wisker biscuit. Like this rest much better.

Which prompts the question: What do you like that makes it better?

I think that the WB losses strength where the arrow comes out and loosens.

I've had mine for three years and shot thousands of arrows through it in all kinds of weather including snow. Some of the bristles are a bit askew but it still works like the first day.

If the screws are backing off they need more torque or locktite. I doubt if the bristles are loosening.

I have a Quality Archer Design, Ultra Rest. I LOVE it. Its a fall away rest that has a retaining bar on the top to hold the arrow in the rest as you move. The rest hasnt failed since I mounted it on my Tribute in April. It's a great rest, pricey but worth it and in the end the only way to save money on gear is to buy it right the first time.

SteelyEyes,

We may disagree on some things man, but the Whisker Biscuit sure ain't one of them.

Great rest for both 3D and hunting.

Had a drop-away on my bow that was stolen from me and had a Whisker Biscuit installed on my new bow.

Ten minutes of tuning and I was shooting bullet holes thru paper.

When comparing the speed of my bow, I found that I only lost about 2 fps with the Biscuit vs a Drop-Away.

Don't know what exactly what wvhunter's complaint is, but my experience (and that of many others at our archery club) is that the Whisker Biscuit is a fine arrow rest.
