I finally got to handle several shotguns yesterday: Rem Versa Max, 11-87, Mossberg 930, Winchester SX3, Benelli SBE. Of the 5, the SX3 fit me the best. I was a bit surprised because my dad has an SX 2 and it doesn't fit me at all. The SX 3 is about perfect.
I plan to sell 2 shotguns and buy the SX 3 as a replacement for my current dedicated turkey and all purpose shotgun. Anyone have or know of any issues with the newer SX 3 - especially going between 2.75" and 3.5" shells?
Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it.

Unless you get the occasional lemon, always possible with any brand, the SX3 should be great. The 3 is a little slimmer and has a lower rib than the 2, which might account for a better fit for you.

The x3 is basically a repackaged x2. I don't know of any real significant issues, occasionally the spring in the gas piston will break, but you can get it sleeved for less than $50 if/when it happens. I have an x2 that I bought back in 2006 and have put a few thousand rounds through. Other than having the piston sleeved I haven't had a single issue with it
