1:8, CTR accuracy, threaded for a can... could it get much better from a factory chunk 223?

It wasn't on the 2016 Sako Select list. For that matter, there wasn't a single Tikka on the list.

I have a feeling Tikka will roll out their own list of new products without piggy-backing on the Sako Select program.

Will they ever make the compact in stainless ?

Could you expand on what this Sako Select list is?

Side note, Tikka did make the T3 Scout CTR a few years ago. 20" heavy barrel, 1913 rail, not threaded though. I picked one up and put it in a Manners stock with CDI bottom metal.

It amazes me that Tikka doesn't bring more of their heavier weight rifles in the States!

You can't walk in a gun store and grab a varmint weight rifle in .243, 25-06, etc that is field ready without having to drop off at a gunsmith for a trigger job, or bedding. All while staying under $900. Even some of the heavier calibers they offer would sell.

The Sako Select program expands the SKU's available to dealers. A minimum order is required. Tikka (Sako too) only offers specific models to dealers in the U.S. -- they don't import everything. Sako Select Dealers have the ability to offer additional rifles to their customers above and beyond the standard offerings.

The Tikka T3 Stainless Flited Hunter is an example of a rifle only offered through the Sako Select program...
